Moms of smaller babies (Baby Clothes sizes)?

My daughter is 10 months and she is really small for her age she weighs roughly 16 lbs she was 4.5 lbs at birth.I cannot find clothes that fit her she can wear 3-6 months, they fit her in the waist but they are too short if I go to 6-9 months they are to big in the waist but fit her length.So have you found any brands or stores that have clothes that are funky sizes?? My MIL suggested opening the seam line on the waist of the 6-9 months and tightening the elastic in them to make them fit her waist…..
Any ideas?? Her clothes are always falling off or they are too short!! lol

My daughter is the same way. She’ll be 3 in January and can still fit in the 18 month pants in the waist, but I have to get her 3T just for the length. The 2T just got too short last week.

I’ve heard that Levi’s and Old Navy (and Gap) make adjustable waist bands. Old Navy also makes slims in their pants.
